The Bicycle

In Fanny's estimation, a bicycle performed better than a horse as it was completely under the control of the operator and did not have a mind of its own. Also, it did not require feed or stable. Fanny once again was thankful to Matt for her miraculous new transportation and the freedom and independence it brought to her life.

Here are bicycles much like the one Fanny rode, though I suspect Matt and Fanny would be smiling.
